I think it would be in our best interest to eat in the Laural area. Especially for lunch. As for dinner I think all will be tired and a long drive would not be welcome

Went to Hooter's Laurel this afternoon, they were holding a "training event".

Translation? Free grub! Wings were decent, parking is decent.

Wait staff all featured delightfully "pneumatic" personalities :-)

Lunch would probably be better than a meal at Hooter's, if folks chose to. Since they open for business next Monday, expect plenty of traffic at the "new" Hooters.

Heck, beats going up to B'more, and paying for parking for your Hooters fix!

Since it is closing in....

Should we designate a time to meet at Carlos' (or a resteraunt TDB) for lunch, say 12:30. Anyone who wants to come shows up. (though an RSVP would be nice)

Same deal for dinner - time or place, Ledo's? Any takers?

Getting excited!!!!

I'll RSVP, but won't be able to stay long - work and all :( There's a Ledo's Pizza literally within walking distance from Carlos' if we all wanna do pizza. If not, there's Hooter's, Chili's, Bennigan's, Green Turtle, Red Lobster.....I could go on

If I could get like a head count by like Friday or something, I could probably stop by one of those places since I'm about 5 minutes from the area and reserve a place.

I'll probably be hanging out in the area all day. That morning is the Tate Breakfast (assuming it's still happening) and then I have the 5pm slot for my sunroof graphic install. It's more worth my time to just stay in the area instead of driving back home and then down to laurel.

So I'm up for just about anything. For those who are more adventurous there is a decent sushi place called Asahi in the strip mall with the Quiznos on Rt1. They do korean and sushi (odd combo).

Throwing a dinner suggestion out

Since we had not yet made lunch plans, I thought I'd complicate matters with bring up dinner too.

I know it is not exactly in laurel, but what about the possibility of having dinner over at 5 guys in Bowie? Relaxed atmosphere, good cheap eats...

Bowie you say why I live there . Funny thing is I've never ate @ 5guys . I'm up for this.

What a busy day...going to Tate breakfast in the morning for a bit. Then to laurel for a crank pulley and then to lunch and dinner out.

I have 10am graphics and noon CAI, so I am up for lunch. Dinner is iffy, especially if it means I have new geography to learn. Something near the shop would be better for my feeble brain, but I am iffy even then.

I'm DFW, as long as DFW doesn't include Don Pablo's. I'll take a margarita at Chili's over food at Don Pablo's. YMMV.

If I wanted damn good mexican food, I'd go to El Rodeo in York, PA, but that's a haul! Best Carnitas I have ever had, and Carnitas is a restaurant report card item for me.

I rate:

Guacamole
Margaritas
Carnitas

at every Mexican restaurant I visit. Don't pass all categories, I pass you by :-)

Rant off.

Hooters is a fairly relaxed atmosphere, so are the other suggestions. I'll make a new one: B & B Southern BBQ, on 198, just after the Ourisman dealership and Remington's. Great BBQ, outstanding fried catfish. Used to get the pulled pork sandwich all the time, now it's strictly fried catfish for me. Good choice of sides. Famous Dave's is a decent spot, too, but significantly pricier. More variety at Dave's, though. B&B gets by with damn good rib work, and catfish. Great sides and desserts, too.

Sweet Potato Pie! LMK if folks are curious, if we've got a head count, I can get in touch and see if they've got the space. They're primarily a busy take-out place, with a bit of sit and eat going on as well.

Cheers,

- Z

Ledo's works for me...

So is Ledo going to officially be the lunch or dinner?
What time?
Where to meet?

Wanna plan for after the last person gets tint, vinyl or a pulley? I think that would be like 6pm.

now about lunch

So for dinner meet at Ledo's at 6? Now we are talking about the Ledo's on Route1, right near Carlos or another Ledo's?

Now lunch, should people who want to go (probably those getting work done or hanging out) meet around 11:30 at carlos' and we can go from there, or do we want to formally set something up?

Not sure if I'll be able to make a dinner now :( Ledo's pizza is really good though. You all will enjoy! It's cheap and fills you up. And if you don't like pizza or aren't in the mood you can get burgers, pasta, salads, mini-burgers

A concrete lunch plan would be nice, but I will be there regardless.

Folks should be aware that Solar Solutions and the detailer are well back from the road, with not much signage to get you there. There is a storage place on either side of the street. I do not recall the name of the right storage place, but the wrong one is quite memorably called MINI Storage, though I do not know why one would want to store a MINI. Take the drive at the other side of the street and follow the row of buildings toward the back.
