The THMMC started a banner to raise money to fight Cancer.

It started on Mt. Mitchell more than a year ago and has made it as far as the West Coast and now is back on the East Coast. There is a MINI driver that can bring it as far as DC (she is visiting her sister). Is there anyone that can get the banner in the DCMM club, and help relay it back to NC? We would rather not mail this as it is more meaningful to shuttle it between MIINI drivers as it has been, all the way to the West Coast and back.

The current person will be in the Bethesda area next weekend. Send me a PM.

Some of us will go down to VIR for Phil Wick's driving school and I believe there will be some coming up from NC to VIR as well.

DCMMer might be able to bring the banner down to VIR and give it to a person from NC.

Just a thought.

 

I thought about that too, but that's 6 weeks away. Red Ryder, is there a deadline to meet? If not we'd be happy to get it down to VIR for you...Where in DC is the banner now? Do you have contact info?

 

The Banner is in Rochester NY right now and the person who has it is going to Washington on Oct 4th, we are hoping they will be bringing it with them. If they do and someone could pick it up from them then I could meet them somewhere between DC and Winston-Salem the following weekend and then we will take it to Mt Mitchell Oct 19 where it began. This would complete one full circle before sending it on it's way again raising money to fight this terrible disease

Perhaps BlimeyCabrio could pick it up from VIR? John DeCrema won't be there, but we could make sure it's brought to that location. Would that be ok?
