Summit Point Article

For anyone wondering what it's like to take your MINI to the racetrack, last Friday's Washington Post had a really good article about Summit Point's Friday at the Track.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...67.html?sub=AR

I'd say the article gives a really good description of what the day is like. In fact, reading about wrestling for the wheel and getting yelled at brought back a lot of memories since Klaus (the instructor in the article) was my first instructor when I went to Summit Point this past April. My only issue with the article is that it seems like you're constantly being yelled at. Klaus was actually a good natured, dry humor type of guy and I'm not sure that comes across. So don't let that part scare you off. Chances are that you'll get a great instructor that'll help you maximize your MINI's potential and you'll have a blast.

If driving with non-MINIs turns you off then look into Phil Wicks' event at VIR in November. A bunch of us did his last event there in July and I'd say we all loved the event. All MINIs on a great track. That was a great day.
