Has anyone used the Shifter ZR3, Laser Jammer from Escort. I'd like to have some input/info from any first hand experience. I heard a lot of good thing about it.

I heard that MoT carry it and install for their BMW customers. I'm not sure if they will install the device for MINI, but I assume so.

 

Check out radardetector.net and you will probably get swayed to get the better performing laser diode jammer systems, i.e. LPP (laser pro park) and LI (laser interceptor). There are a lot of impressive videos on youtube and such. The ZR3 seems to be outdated and less effective technology (LEDs) in comparison. There is also a new Escort laser jammer in the works supposedly due in the Spring.

BTW, I'm splurging for the LI system.

 

We have had the ZR3 since 03. It works as well now as ever. Since most of MD state police use laser, it has been a very good friend of the mini. Very good. I don't think any laser technology has changed that outdates it.

 

Sorry, I didn't mean the ZR3 would not work now. I just meant that the new laser jammers have diodes instead of led's and also probably better detection capabilities so that they are overall much more effective especially against certain guns. Otherwise, I was tempted to get ZR3 since the price has dropped quite a bit.

 

I really need that. Especially, they got me doing 44mph in 35mph zone with their laser gun.
