The MINI made out better than I did for Christmas (which is fine with me since I get to use it ). One thing I got is the Angel Eyes Running Lamps from MossMINI. The manufacturer says they are "road legal" and "E" marked (whatever that is), but Moss says that the blue hue the lights put out might not be legal in all states. Do any of you know if they're legal in MD? If not, is it something an officer can pull you over for or just something they can tack on to a ticket?

How hard is the install?

 

Very easy

 

I put them on this past Summer. Came out nice.

I had to lower my aerokit bumper to install. Pretty smooth process, but it's not quite as straightforward as replacing the tail-lights.

I did the install last night. It's very easy once you get good at removing the front bumper which isn't as hard as it sounds. The only thing you will need is a size T30(?) torques screw driver. Other than that, it's a couple of 8mm and 10mm nuts and it's off. Actually installing the lights is a 5 minute job. Make sure you test the lights after you plug them in. The angel eyes won't light up unless the wires are in the right way (they plug into the old bulb socket). If it doesn't work, just switch the connection.

They're definitely bluer than I expected. I have to get the silver turn signal bulbs too...they look dorky with the amber ones in there .
