Wow, that sure is a long commute from NY to here for this event.

I'm gonna be in Silverspring that weekend visiting my cousin. Towson is not that far so might as well stop by. Or is it the other way around

Thanks to everyone.

It was a blast today. It would be better if it wasn't raining today (but we do need rain, don't we?)

I had so much fun, met quite a few DCMM old/new members. Great conversation, awesome food, cozy atmosphere, really really friendly. Love it, love it.

Thanks to Brad and his team, both sales and service, MA, SA and the tech crews for the awesome party.

Especially, the tech session. Had a closed up look on the service facitlity, tech discussion with mechanic/tech team, questions & answers.
(I finally got a chance to crack and got into the last missing part of my project )

Also, a big thanks to Coopo for posting this thread to remind us of the fastastic event. Looking forward to see you again at our next event.

I'll try to be there again on Sat.

It was fun to see everybody again! Pictures from Wed night's event are up on the bulldog blog:

Thanks to Jeremy for adding pictures.

We had a great time. The MAs and SAs at MoT were awesome as always. We'll have to find another DCMM event to attend in the future.

Actually, I should say it's one of the two missing parts.
Not the head that I was talking about, but the other one. The one that we can't touch it with our hands, but we can feel the difference once we have it.

Pleasure to meet you and Beverly as well.

Try to make the Saturday event, but I doubt there will be as many DCMM members there on Sat, but it will be as much fun. I will try to show up though.

Here is the message from Brad (Towson) about Sat.
Can't make it (on Wed)? That's perfectly alright because we won't just be holding one event this month. You are also invited to our Motor-Tober Driving Event at MINI of Towson on Saturday, October the 27th from 10 am till 5 pm.

On both occasions, there will be games, prizes, food & drink. Just respond to this message to let us know if you will be attending, and how many will be with you. We look forward to seeing you at one or even both of our Motor-Tober events.
If not, the next one will be a Brunch run & Cars show in Burtonville, 11/4. Lots of us will show up on this one as well, I believe.

I'll be there on Saturday! In a twist of the way things normally work...my Mini is acting up two weeks BEFORE the warranty expires, and not waiting til after!

Motor-Tober was fun, and I just wanted to say thanks to everyone from DCMM that I finally got to meet! Nakiya and I really had a good time, hanging out with the club kind of makes me want to trade in my WRX to buy a second Mini :D

Maxicooper, MrMellowYellow, and everyone else I met, thanks for being so friendly! I look forward to attending more events in the near future.

Glad to meet you and Nakiya as well.

Next closest one will be Burtonsville cars show and brunch on Sunday, 11/4.
Then it will be Towson's breakfast meet, 11/17 @ 9.30am. And if you're into mod your MINI or wanna hang-out with MINI die-hard, join Mach V dyno day event on the same day.

We might come up with something on Sat 11/10, evening. I'm not certain, I will keep you update.

So did anybody go to MoT for the Saturday Motor-tober event? Just wondering how it was and if there were any pictures. I thought I saw another thread dedicated to that day but for the life of me, I can't find it.

And Coopo...it was nice meeting you guys as well! I think Bev and I will be trying to make it to either Burtonsville or the Breakfast at MoT in the coming weeks so we'll hopefully see you then. Glenn.

We didn't make it I had stuff to do that I've been putting off and I hate taking Wensley out in the rain, its not the rain that scares us its those others who think cars perform better in the wet

I did get out Sunday and went off to Orbisonia, PA for the East Broad Top railroad season closing day. Wow ! I think if there is enough interest out there in MINIville, we could do a run next year, I found some really nice roads to twist on I'll start a thread on it later today.

Cheers,

Mike

Did you leave before or after Sherwin was out there?
When we were watching him we noticed all kinds of understeer at the bottom of the lot. Of course it was off-camber and sandy/gravely.
