MINI's mini run & pix for fun, Saturday, Sept 22nd @ 8.30am. @ Hains Point, DC.
**cough, cough**
So that would be the Panera Bread in the Plaza where Wal-Mart is? Where you can see Wal-Mart from 175? Where you turn in at your first left if you head South on Dobbin from 175?

I went to Herndon today using the route. So much fun, I had to slow down a few times, even below the limit. Quite a few blind twisty turns and roller coaster hills.
And I really mean roller coaster.
JCW suspension was able to handle it pretty well though.

Tommorow morning @ 8.30am.
It's going to be beautiful outside tomorrow. Good day for motoring.
Here is the meeting location:
Hains Point, East Potomac Park, DC.
Last lot, right before the Awakening.
8.30am. Meet up early in the morning, have fun with a photo session at the nice backdrop of Hains Point, East Potomac Park and the famous sculpture "the Awakening". (If I could wake up early, I might be there early to get a nice early sun light)
9.30am. Start motoring on scenery roads, winding through DC, GW Parkway, McLean, the Great falls area, etc. Then enjoy lunch @ the Buffalo Wings Factory, Ashburn, Va.
After a quick lunch we will motoring to the Mach V dyno event.

East Potomac Park, ..... ready to start motoring. Reeechard's dreaming about what will be his next mod.

As requested by Pl4ypl4y for some image with HDR technique, by merging 3 images into 1 using HDR feature in PS2. Got more detail from shadow area, but not blown out the highlight. (8 bit image, no adjustment, no enhancing)

A short break at Riverbend Regional Park.

Admiring, the Ferrari during lunch break at CWF.

And last but not least ...... Mininurse and JustJay @ Mach V dyno event.

Had a great time today everyone. Thanks, Chris for organizing everything. That HDR shot is pretty interesting. Do you have a larger version you can send me via e-mail? I'm curious about the details. I remember the sun had come out on some of the shots and there was alot of reflection of the hoods but can't see it in that shot. Oh btw, can you confirm your tire size? Was it 225/18/35?

Speaking of the HDR, the detail (resolution) will not change. The dynamic range of the image is. You will get 32 bit image instead of 8, 12 or 16 bit. Which will give you lots of data to work with.

The picture shows better shadow detail (look at the blue R56), and also good detail of the sky (not blown out).
Oh, and yes, the tires are 225/35-18".

It's good to have a convertible, especially, when the weather was so nice, isn't it? ReeeChard
