Awwww come on Annap's not that far away and we're hanging until 12:00pm and hopefully a run will be pulled together. I'll try and get out this weekend and chart something out.

Its going to be tight for me because I'm going to PA on Saturday the 6th and will not be back till after dark. Sooooo I'll be up at 6:00 to get Wensley looking all prim and proper before heading to the lot - she usually consumes a good two hours of my time

Holy Donut

This event is commonly referred to as "The church of the Holy Donut"

My local Ferrari group meet there regularly. There is always a few Minis and a lot of very interesting cars.

Yeah, it'll sure be a good meet up event. Thanks to bring this up, Mike.

Cool name though, by the way.

I'm going to western MD for MHTH II the day before. I can't wait to see the car after that drive.

Dammit! I just looked at the calendar. I'm gonna be in PA that weekend. Figures. I seem to take my weekend vacations (this one is camping up at Knoebels, our last trip for the year) and find out later that something else was happening.

Hmmmmm.....300 members......two people signed up ? Come on DCMMer's....this is what being in the club is all about, getting together, talking cars, running some back roads and stuffing the old cake hole !

I do understand the problems of finding time, I guess since I actually have time on this particular weekend, I'm hoping others do too.

Would a flyer to the local dealers help ? Maybe attract some new owners to the club ?

I would like to make it official that we will do a small run (~35 miles) at noon to go get some lunch. The destination will be the Iron Bridge Wine Co. (http://www.ironbridgewines.com/)

Maxicooper and I are working out the run details, so far it looks like a good one !

Cheers

You can bring copy to the show.
By the way, don't forget the 2-way radio. Set at 7 - 21.

And, make you MINI shiny ......

Wensley, Wifey and I are off to Western Maryland tomorrow for a few days - staying at "The Castle" in Mt Savage and relaxing a bit. I really would like to have hit the Cumberland run on Saturday but East Broad Top Railroad is having their "Fall Spectacular" see http://www.ebtrr.com/ that day.

EBT has been a special place in my heart since I was a little kid when my Dad took me there, I made the Spectacular in 1998 after he passed away and have been trying to make another since ! Work and other plans have gotten in the way until this year ! Wooo Hooo

We're back ! What a wonderful drive up Rt901 to 9 to 51 into Cumberland The drive in and out of Ohiopyle is fantastic as well !

I just finished giving Wensley a bath and vac so she's ready for Sunday.

Here's a shot from Ohiopyle, Wensley had to have ice cream too !

I'm sorry, I will have to miss the show today.

I have a last minute contract coming in and it took all of my weekend away.

I'm sure you guys will have a blast.
Don't forget to take lots of pictures and drive safely.

For someone who cannot make up their mind, please go out motoring and join our MINI crew. It's going to be a nice day, the cars show is very interesting, the run going to be fun and lunch at Iron Bridge Wine Company and irresistable.

Have fun.

Well, the Burtonsville Get Together, Car Show and Run are over and all was successful.

Though MINI attendance was a bit low, the cars on hand were very nice to look over top to bottom. In addition, there were plenty of other vintage, exotics, classics, muscle and rods to drool over.

My wife and I found our power invertor couldn't handle the tea pot so she made an emergency trip to Dunkin for some hot water and the tea and scones were on ! She really out did herself, including the cream and lemon toppings, fancy teapot and cups I still have a sugar buzz going !

A small detachment made the run up through Howard County and I think we agree it's quite a good one There a couple of dead areas and some slow SUV's (Even a pair of real slow victory bikes ) but for the most part its rocking and rolling !

The IronBridge is a worthy lunch spot with good food and wine, prices aren't bad either.

My wife suggested doing this once a month and that sounds like a good idea so I'll work on getting another Sunday posted. I need to check my schedule at work, I'm supposed to go to India sometime that month. We'll cut back for the colder months unless we get good weather.

Thanks to MrFalcon, bap_13, mini-boliviano and the non-dcmmer with the 2007 Sparkling Silver MCS.

I must admit I forgot the camera, I had to rewash Wensley at 6:30am due to the dew and dust

I will post some shots from previous shows on flickr.

Cheers,

Mike

I wish I could have made it today. This is really not my good weekend. (good for work, not for motoring to be exact )

I'm glad that you guys had a blast. I will definitely not miss the next one for sure.

Thank you SpitfireMKI for the afford to make this happened.
