Not on the phone, but half asleep (according to the other driver) at 6:15 am. The policeman actually issued the citation(s) to the other driver on the scene--running the red light and reckless driving, I believe--so the issue of who is at fault for insurance purposes is, thankfully for me, not an issue.

It woudn't have been your fault anyway it happened.

Glad that you are not injured, and your baby is not too bad off. Speedy recovery sent to you from us and Cecilia and Soulfire.

Update

Finally picked up my insurance company rental to drive whilst the MINI is at the body shop for the next two weeks... gakkk! ...it's a PT Cruiser! (or as my insightful and MINI-loving daughter calls it, a "PT Loser")

It's so embarrassing...I'm actually being seen driving around NOVA in the MINI Antichrist...

And by the way, another wonderful surprise was that I recently found out that the other involved and at-fault party let her insurance lapse prior to the "incident" due to non-payment of premium. Thanks goodness for Uninsured Motorist coverage. I guess my company (USAA) will be pursuing remedial payment from her directly, though I have no idea what odds of success that carries.

I miss my MINI.

I had a PT loser when Nigel was getting bandaged up...THIS IS AN OUTRAGE!

As I told State Farm, a PT cruiser isn't even close to a Mini. It's like going from a go-kart to a riding lawn mower.

I feel you pain...

big time fine, possible jail time...I wouldn't want to be in that fool's shoes. I hope USAA nails her butt to the wall

As to the PT Loser...we'll try not to laugh
