Wait, where's the MINI?

Well, B wanted a Mini... But not more than a stang. So driving around on the island I found one for her... Called her, described it, and she said she wanted it.
So the 4 banger super ride is black w/ silver trim... And the 8 banger stock cruiser is silver with black trim.
Funny thing is that it's a 5 speed (she doesnt know how to drive manual), and she doesn't get here until July... So it'll be my toy for a while... Intake, exhaust... Maybe a Roush or Saleen supercharger kit for 25% more horsies...Anyhow, the point of this whole post was to ask if I can particpate in Guam DCMM drives with the Mustang? HAR, just kidding. Hope all is well with you mainlanders.
Well, yes and no.
There's a dealer named Prestiege Automobiles here on the island, that deals BMW, Mini, and Land Rover... Provides warranty and service for all of the above. Went into their satallite site to talk about possibly extending my warranty, and got some other info. Apparently according to the not so knowledgeable sales guys at the remote lot (which is literally half an island closer to me than the main lot) they can only sell Mini's to military folks, which is why they don't stock them. Locals cannot buy nor order Mini's through that dealership... Extremely odd imho, but I don't make the rules.
Overall in my 2 weeks and 3 days here on the island... I've probably seen about 7 Mini's total. 1 of which was autocrossing at the autox track in Yigo.

I have never not been able to find one.
Even at crowded events (Chomorro Village on wednesday nights, basically a fiesta for locals and tourists alike), I've still found parking easily.

Ship goes out to sea about 14-21 of every 100 days.
EDIT:
Oh, and I'm going to be working in the electronics calibration shop. We service the submarines, other ships, and other activities in and around Guam. They built a backup Cal facility on the base for us. So when the ship goes out to sea, only 10% of the calibration personnel go with, the other 90% stay in Guam and just work out of the other facility.

Is B going to learn stick on this ...thing... you bought?
Try to get in some Boonie Stomps - lots of great hikes on Guam!

She asked for it.
Probably not. Will lower, but not as much as before. Some nasty potholes, ruts, and speedbumps here and there. The stang at stock height has already bottomed out on one retardedly high speedbump.
Will do. Already been to Marbo Cave, Ritidian, around the south side of the island, and my next stomp is going to be either to Sully Bay or the Spanish Steps.
Well, it's really her stang, so if she breaks it, oh well. I don't think she comprehends how beastly it really is, despite not being a cobra/roush/etc...
Aye, this place rocks.

Hey I'm happy for you! Looks nice! As far as a DCMM/Guam event if a MINI is present then the MINI should lead - however in absence of a MINI - renewal and possession of your DCMM membership card should suffice. So renew your membership! :-)
This coming from the guy who previously stated that he feels DCMMs membership should be 'no MINI, no member'
well, being in Guam accounts for extenuating circumstances, so don't go there. That horse has been beaten into dogfood..

I was commenting that his remarks were a step in the right direction, by saying that other makes are welcome. I wasn't intending on provoking another 10pg brawl.
