Sun, Jun 10th - Caravan to VA Beach
Our drive down wasn't too bad, but we left fairly early. Got into Suffolk about 1PM. Fortunately, we didn't have to deal with the 64East exit. There was a 2 mile backup (two lanes) just to take that exit. That is the main route that all the beachgoers take, so please pay attention to the advice that has been given earlier and allow plenty of time. Roads through the Norfolk area are busy!
Sunday morning is usually a different situation, traffic-wise... I left my house in Annandale at 10:25am on Sunday morning, went around 495, down 95 (including the notorious area), to Richmond, east on 64, etc... And I was at the site at 1:05pm. 2 hours and 40 minutes. I didn't have to stop even once!

BTW, that is probably how we will drive with a baby too! that was TOOO much fun playing around like that. I wonder what the other cars thought! Jealous I bet! I am just glad the traffic was traveling as quickly as it was. I was imagining 35-45 the whole way.
Blame it ALLL on RHinaHBMCSC...Dale was driving...and if that is how you drive with a baby in the back, I wonder how you will teach Samantha to drive
