BuhBye WagnBat!
BuhBye WagnBat!
As a lot of you may already know, one of our very active DCMM/NAM members is getting stationed in Guam. He's leaving tomorrow.
So to you Will, I wish you, Bea, and little Will all the best in your new adventure in Guam. As I always say, there is never goodbye, just see you soon! Don't forget about all your DCMM friends and thank you for being a good friend and doing all that you do by serving our country.
Your pal,
Krutty.

Goodbye, Will. I wish you and your family all the best.
Hope to see you soon. And if I have a chance on my next trip to Thailand, I will try to stop by and visit you over there. If they allow us to.

BAI!
But could it be that easy? No, of course not.
The Navy didn't issue my tickets until 3:30pm today, for a flight at 10:20am tomorrow. Fine and dandy, but I still have my car. So I need to be at the port of Baltimore, military vehicle processing facility no earlier than 8am, and they swear it takes 1 full hour to inspect and accept a vehicle. So leaving at 9am sharp, that gives me 80 minutes to get to BWI, get checked in with everything I own and have been carrying for the last 30 days, and on a plane to NJ then to Hong Kong, then to Guam. First flight takes of Thursday morning at 10:20 am, last flight lands on Saturday morning at 6am. Fun? No.
Anyhow, it's been good. Can't say that I'll be back, because though I love you guys, I hate everything else about DC. Hopefully I make my flight without issues tomorrow, and make it to Guam without further issues.
Thanks for everything everyone. You guys are what make DCMM and NAM special.

Will,
It's been awesome getting to know you. We'll miss you and Betty... and I hope that you can at least visit in the future, so we can get to meet little Will!
Have a safe journey and stay in touch (you may be leaving DC but know you can't resist NAM! MUHAHAHAHA!).
Your friend,
Haemish.

The first thing heard in Guam, "Hey sailor, new in town?"
Good luck to you and the family. If I come visit my friends there next fall, I'll deliver parts for you.

Will,
I loved working on your car at MOTD despite the flooded, muddy, and less than ideal conditions, and better yet, getting to know you in the brief periods we could between the rain and all the stuff that was going on.
Thanks to you--I ordered a set of prepainted Aero kit side skirts as soon as I got back home for my own ride.
Have a safe trip, and maybe we'll see you at MOTD 2008! (For those that don't know what I'm saying--Will said there MIGHT be a chance he could take a vacation and still come back!)

Probably a little too late to catch you before you leave, but I'll say it anyway:
It has been great chatting with you here on NAM and I'm really glad I got to meet you at MOTD. We wish you and your family safe travels, and look forward to seeing you (here or on the road) in the future.

Good luck...but it is not really good bye because I am sure we will "see" you here quite a lot! Now DCMM has a Guam chapter!
ooops -- probably opening whole can of worms expanding DCMM to Guam........

Bye Will, I miss all of you guys! And know that DCMM will be well represented in Guam.
Remember, I have a bunk bed with your name on it for next MOTD untill I hear otherwise!
When you come back Stateside, I am sure Jay and I, as well as a few others will probably cross paths with you guys again. And I know that you won't be far away in cyperspace, so I can still laugh near ya!

I just got a call from himself...his car was accepted for shipment, so that's another hurdle out of the way. Now he just has to endure the journey
Will's leaving from BWI, flying to Newark. After a 4 hour layover, he flies direct to Hong Kong. After another 4 hour layover, he flies to Guam. His arrival time is 6AM...on Saturday
So, next time you feel disgruntled about having to be on a plane for say more than 5 hours...be thankful you're not flying to Guam!
It's not gonna be the same around here....

holy cow! where you guys been?
Holy crap, Hong Kong just deleted my long **** post.
Well, I'm not writing all that again, so I'll summarize.
Flight was far better than expected for 16 hours in coach class. In Hong Kong now checking in on Free WiFi (yay hong kong, but boo because it deleted my post right as I hit submit). Thanks for all the well wishes... I'm sure it had something to do with making my flight, getting my car turned in, and everything else that's gone right so far.
I expect to check-in to my ship tomorrow morning first thing after I land. Most Navy ships don't *work* on weekends in-port, so I think I'll be free to roam after that. I don't know how it will work being vehicle-less, but I think I can work it out. I may even drop a contract if that house I posted before looks as good in person.
Will post again from Guam if/when I get the chance. Thanks again all.
BTW, check out the spiffy weather:
