New Casa de Wagnbat/Batmini Cueva?
Oh. And interesting coincidence:
When I put my good faith deposit on my contract, it just so happened the next check in the book was check #2220. When I got done looking at the house yesterday, and looked at my watch to call Betty in the states, my watch said it was 2:22am in California (it shows second time zone with push of a button).
I think there are good omens supporting this deal.

Does the giant spider come with the house or do they charge extra?
Looks like a good solid home, tho' the outdoor water heater might want a cover or something...specially during the rainy season. Ya don't want it to rust and blow it's seals....
I hope you like green, and I hope Bea does too

Good luck and don't melt...

Looks like a great place Will..
If you and your honey are into gardening, lots of potential for a great yard..
I lived in the PI for 3 1/2 years - same climate, weather, etc.. Make sure you have lots of flashlights and candles stashed away..enjoy it over there - hopefully you all can do some traveling and check out that part of the world

Yep, pretty much looks like the Air Force base housing I lived in when on Guam.
Flat roofs are pretty important when one of those Typhoons blows in with 160 mph winds.
Experienced any scheduled power outages yet ? Or maybe Guam has upgraded the electrical production to join us in the 20th century (not a typo).
Seen any snakes yet ? I bet not. You might go a year before seeing your first Brown Tree Snake. Even though there's tens of thousands of them on the island, they don't go to the same kind of places you go.

I meant with a flat roof !! But I did have a very nice home at Andersen. And you gotta love that gov't paid air conditioning when it's 95 and humid every day. And no offense but that house doesn't look nearly that large. You hiding a few rooms somewhere ??No power outages yet... maybe they did upgrade.
Yep, lots of BIG toads. Don't hit one with your car, you can end up with a cracked bumper very easily.
No house. Took too long. Between my realtor, their realtor, and the seller. Submitted a contract last week, and it wasn't seen until today... And as of today there were 2 more... Same price offered, but I pointed out things that needed to be fixed, and the other buyers didnt... So I lost out.
A bit frustrating, but oh well. I wish I'd have known though, I'd have upped the price a bit.

If that's the place, I like it. Nice sinks! I love those kind, and lots of storage. I am sure they can do something with a placelike that. I think it would be easier to work with existing landscaping rather than starting from scratch!
Aye, thats the new place. No Garage or carport, but lots of potential to add one or both. Also went up on the roof today. A huge 10" slab of concrete. Easy to add a patio or deck on top of the house.
There may be one showstopper though. The water in the guest bathroom bath doesn't flow well. To fix it will likely require ripping out the walls and floors to find where the problem lies. The housing inspector noted it on his inspection today, and I guess wether or not I go through with the purchase depends on whether or not he says he will fix it, and if not if I'm willing to take the risk hiring a contractor to repair it myself.
A neat thing I found today, is that I have one of those instant induction water heaters. No tank, it just heats the water from the main as it passes, so no energy wasted heating water sitting unused in a tank all day.

-Paul!
.....Great for when certain 'significant others' decide to take a 45 minute long steaming hot shower leaving about 30 seconds worth of hot water in the tank...
.... the joy of a living together!!!
tankless hot water heaters
Those things rock. Wags... if the seller will give you some concessions for the plumbing issue this may be the time for you to ask for them - especially if the house has sat on the market for a while.
Yar, but the crappy thing in his mind, will likely be that he just spent loads to put some fancy tile in... And it going to have to be ripped out to fix the problem...
I'd wager a guess that they knew of the problem, AFTER they put in the tile, not testing the plumbing without everything in place and grouted... But once it was done, he said 'awww, let the next owner deal with it'.
