Flat tires
Flat tires
I have had a 2014 JCW countryman with 19 inch run flats for two months and just got my third flat. My prior car had twenty inch low profile and never got a flat. I live in north east so roads are admittedly banged up from a tough winter but this is nuts. Car is starting to feel un-drivable. I am trying to determine if changing to non run flats will make a differences and / or if I need to abandon the 19 inch wheels

Well I'm willing to bet that the 20 inches weren't run flats.....Right?run flats are crap in my opinion, I got rid of them as quick as I could. Get rid of them
I had 17 inch rims with run flats and the pot holes would even bubble those. Switched to an 18 inch non-run flat and the ride has been a lot better.
Found a pot hole the hard way and the new tire took it in stride. Now admittedly this example doesn't cover anything close to a measurable statistic, but my opinion is that MINI went the wrong direction when they chose that type of tire.
Quieter ride, less jarring, better gas mileage, MUCH better wear. I'm a convert.
