Functioning Lunatic
I thought the event was good. Must have missed the MINI name contest...
I test drove a new MCS. I liked the torque, but it was too quiet and didn't have the sense of urgency. I had to listen hard for the turbo and blow off valve. Car felt very solid over bumps and rough roads though. Ride didn't feel all that mushy, it was tight yet swallowed bumps easily. Steering response was good, but the car could use an aggressive alignment. Clutch was too soft and the brakes bite too hard, can't modulate them at all - braking force was not linear. Though, my stock brakes were like that too.
It was a good day. I just wish I didn't miss the name contest.

The name contest was just part of the overall voting that was done on the voting slips that you should have gotten when you registered your MINI at the tent. With all the great names there, I was surprised I won that category.Originally Posted by nabeshin

I thought it was a pretty great event. I was surprised though that none of the prizes handed out were MINI items.
