Hi,

Looking for better handling using the OEM 16" rims. The tire options seem better with a 205/55-16 or 215/50-16 tire? Is anyone running these tires, if so what brand and have they improved handling?

The 215 tire is nearly 1 inch wider but identical in all other dimensions. Is this too wide a tire for the 6.5" rim for better performance?

Should fit fine, but there are not a lot of choices in that size. That being said I would confirm with installer prior to purchase that they would fit. TireRack has a couple performance tires in that size. I imagine it would make a difference!

 

205/50/16 would be another option. slightly smaller diameter throwing your speedo further off of course
