Hi, we have to replace the hood ( Bonnet) on our mini Base model, Can we replace it with a Mini Cooper S Hood, We like the looks of the hood on the Mini S since we have to replace the hood anyway...We really appreciated your Help..

anybody has try this before, some said yes it will fit, other said no, anyone knows if it really works , I have to buy the hood this week..thanks

 

Of course they don't. They are different parts (S hood has a scoop).

Who said no? I see no reason why it wouldn't fit. S hood on a base model should be no problem. However the other way around (base hood on an S) may have clearance problems with an S engine.

Personally, I think the non-S hood looks much better and fits the design of the car. By comparison, the S looks like it has a fat, bulbous nose.
