Howdy Folks,

Service light on in my '09 R56 Base Hardtop Manual. Mini says time for a brake fluid flush and cabin air filter change - $310. I say I'll get back to you and go to my main non-Mini shop guy. He'll do it for $100 but finds out before starting that even with his equipment he can't reset the light upon completion. Anyone had this problem? Any way around not having to pay Mini the extra $$$ to do it? Would love to hear from you. Please advise.

Might get a better response in the 2nd gen MINIs forum. My 1st gen MINI doesn't even have a brake service countdown to reset.
