I'm currently trying to upgrade my 2006 R50 Mini cooper.
So far I have:

-CAI, DDM
-Borla Cat-back exhaust
-H-sport adjustable 19mm sway bar

Now I am looking for the best way to upgrade performance even more.
I hear a custom tune is the best thing but seeing as I live right in the center
of Connecticut, Mini Cooper Tuning Parties are hard to come by.

I have come across this "Stage 3" (so they say ) chip on the internet.

Even a custom tune on a just-a copper has minimal gains....a non custom canned tune should have less, and if they claim much more than 1-2 hp, it is mostly timing...very dangerous.

 

The best thing one can do to improve the performance of an R50 (or any car, for that matter) is to go to a driving school at a local road course, such as the BMW CCA events, or a Skip Barber class.
