Hi
Does anybody know if the rear lights in Europe are same as in the US, I mean the size so if I buy a set from Europe if they fit.
Also, does Mini 2 rear lights fit in a Mini 1?
Whatabout the front lights?

I suggest you do a bunch more research...
The front is no...the mounting method is radically different...
I'm pretty sure the wiring harness are very different and size/shape difference for the rears....
Heck for gen1 rears..there are 2 varrations in the use, and I believe the euro's were the same except for the lens colors in a few.. The us even had the euro fog light...so they might be the same...just remember that the backup light is in the bumper of the pre-05 cars, so if you do a tail light swap involving a year change, you might loose some functionality.

 

Can you tell us more specifically what you would like to do? In general, US and Euro lights are compatible (both front and rear) if they are from the same year. If they are not from the same year, tell us what you are considering and we can comment.

Why are you looking at getting lights from Europe? With very few exceptions, US and Euro lights are exactly the same parts. The only notable difference I know is '05/'06 where Euro taillights have amber turn signals and the US is all red. Actually I do have an '06 with Euro taillights and it was a plug and play swap.
