Not sure where I read this (somewhere here, though) but at least one person reported an improvement in fuel economy when they installed an intake modification on their MCS. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who has installed one of the available mods (e.g., the Viper) on an MC and measured the MPG before and after. It would be very cool if you could wring a couple of extra HP out of the engine and use less petrol in so doing. Kinda counterintuitive but what do I know?

I had Randy from MiniMotorSports install the moss intake on my MC. It's been a little over a 400 miles now and I can't say I've seen any improvement in gas milage. OF course it sounds so good at Wide Open Throttle WOT that I may be using up any fuel benefits just listening to it howl.

Thanks -- sorta what I thought -- fuel efficiency negated by zoom factor I'd probably do it too, though, to tell the truth, my little MC is pretty zoomy already. The onliest time I feel like I could use a little extra is when passing on the highway in 5th. I suppose this is where the supercharger shines in "normal driving".

So, no noticeable improvement but no great degradation, either?

Well I can't say it feels any faster or my gas mileage has increased. But it sounds very good when you stomp on it.
