Buster, a 6' 5" mate of mine in Aus had sex in the front seat of a Mini. There's plenty of space for a 6'4" driver to drive.

Also, how tall are you mate ? Had a guy ask me if a 6'4" man could get in a Mini- told him I am 6' 1" with no problems and sent him to your site with the photos of you standing next to one.
All the best....
I'm 6'11" 285lbs..........if they build it you can fit...lol.....seat extensions were the best buy for me.

Big Norm, you should listen to your videos, you (or whoever's taking them) sound like Darth Vader!

My best friend is 6'4" and he fit OK as well, but if he were going to drive it all the time he'd want the seat moved back a bit more!

In London used to use to have a Clubman estate- but then I was 17 and it did have more room in the back- so whilst I cannot comment on the front, the back was a matter of 'good organizational skills'
Bought myself a flat at 19, so it all became a lost art form. Norm, is that why I go see my chiropractor now so often ?

That's looking like a very clean installation so far. Keep up the good work

Norm, I have a question for you. My Mini has a sheet of foam attached to the engine side of the firewall, and I notice that the firewall on that Mini is nice clean paint. Is the foam fairly standard noise deadener?

It's just rubber foam like in a cheap mattress. A layer about an inch thick, and kind of disintegrating.

My Mini has that too. It's covering up the fuses to keep them from getting wet.

...Or holding in the moisture in to help them disintegrate faster (sorry I'm fighting a small electrical issue on mine that is making me bitter .)

I yanked that foam stuff off my firewall... It didn't look fire retardant, trapped moisture something fierce (the paint was discolored and dull beneath it), and looked like crap. Better, I think, to just keep that area exposed so you can see it, and keep it as clean as possible. if corrosion does start to blossom, at least you'll see it instantly.

The cabin is a bit nosier afterwards, true, but it's a Mini - it's never going to rival even a bottom-of-the-line modern Honda for cabin quiet...

yeah i know what your talking about .....goes across the top shelf.....some people like it but it seems more people dispise it.......considering we Rhino coated the entire firewall inside and out, plus the interior has ramm mating and foam insulating pad, i think noise will be minimal

Looks great! One of these days I'll have Tink fully restored, right now I'm just taking the time and cash to make sure she runs. As a newbie, this is definitely an adventure. Here's a link to Fall's project after coming back from MME. I had a nice garage in Indy take care of all the things I didn't check when I bought her in 2006.

WHAT GARAGE??? Is that Way's? I'm looking for a proper garage to (hopefully) show me a few things, and Indy's only about 3 hours away from me.
