My RWD Mini Estate
My RWD Mini Estate
Some of you have I think seen the project I'm working on, others haven't. Here are some pics. Car is currently powered by a Ford 2300 engine, powering the rear wheels. Full tube frame. In the current configuration it qualifies for SCCA Autocross E modified class, however the ~140hp isn't enough so for 2008 I'm swaping out the Ford and replacing it with a Bridge Ported Mazda 13B. That should give me around 225hp. Dealing with a few issues right now before it is ready but should be burning up the track in time for the season start in May. The rear sliding window has been replaced with Lexan, engine is from a circle track car and has been fully ported, balanced and blue printed. Weigh distribution is approx 52:48 and the driving seat is back behind the b-pillar. Steering is a custom rack from Woodward with around 2.5 turns lock to lock, once everything is running I'll be changing the pinion to give me around 2 turns lock to lock.
