i'm new to the classic (sounds like a rap tune ) and am thinking of a resto some day as an option to spending huge money . your project is very insperational . very nice car. now you'll need to make up flyers to hand out as you'll soon be tired of all the questions when trying to get a gallon of milk .
alright well the car wont be complete until the first of the year.....due to the holidays .....but we did get it off the lift this weekend and took it for a drive........only prob. there is that the car is so low to the ground that the muffler drags on the ground...........we are going to install a new exhaust and hang it higher to fix that prob..........hopefully we dont have to reaise the car at all..........it looks so awsome that low to the ground .......the hi/low's and the 10" rims make a huge difference it the ride height.......still have to put the 4 - 7" rally/driving lights on, larger carb, short shifter, lay the carpet, custom dash bezel, and fine tune the car.........but almost there.......as soon as it's done and home i will post pic's of completion
well ......were in the home strech.........gonna try to wrap it up this weekend .......well see........i will post more pic's once the car is home ........this has been an intresting journey........i went approx 1 month over my timeline that i wanted to meet......but you can never predect a project like this ...............i will most likely put the car up for sale when all is complete and sit on it untill i get what i want for it ........then the next project will begin.........if it doesn't sell i will enjoy every min. of having it .......i love the car and if it doesn't sell I wont be mad at all........
well i spent the whole day at Dions today and the car is running almost great ....lol.......need to fine tune the carb and we'll be in good shape ..........we got the front grill back on and gonna finish up the trim stuff on Monday..........so we came to the conclussion after all this time that the motor is defentely an A series 1275 ....approx 70 - 75hp, after the larger carb header exaust and so on............the suspension is much better the stearing and all is great .....still pulls a little to the left but were still making adjustments........also installed oil pressure gauge (running 65psi), volt meter and water temp.........i think all in all I will have a pretty decent car at the end of all this..........should have it ready to go for the next Quaker Steak..............once the car is home i will install the carpet as well.............
great looking job! Did you replace the engine, too?
nope......after finding out i already have a 1275, i decided to leave it.....i do have another 1275 A+ motor ...that im storing away for my next project someday....
