What is my 69 mini clubman worth?

I have a 1969 mini clubman with a ton of extras done on it. A 1275GT A+ engine was installed with a garret t3 turbo charger, straight cut gears, classic mini bucket seats, aftermarket spot lamps, 13" rims, racing steering wheel and a couple other little knick knacks. Has around 64,000 miles. No rust problems and is a good running car. Has a clean title with all matching numbers. Not sure about a ball bark price I should be looking for. Anyone have any ideas?

have you looked at the ads on MiniMania.com for comparisons? Or pick up a few issues of MiniWorld with has several pages of classifieds (prices are UK so convert and add $1000 for shipping for a ballpark US)?

You can always drop your asking price if no one bites, but you can't go up!

I've a very modified 79 with 1275 A+, LCB, twin dtm, Cobra seats, wood dash and and and .... had a serious looker a couple of weeks ago at $12,000 (search my posts and you'll find plenty of pictures and descriptions)

but no check was forthcoming which brings up my one inarguable truth

the car is only worth what you can get someone to pay ... not a penny more.

If you are just THINKING about sell; I know a lot of show car guys who hang a price way above what they honestly think their car is worth and if they get interest, they have a lot of room to come down .... I do that cuz I'll sell for the right price but am not TRYING to sell.

On the other hand if you NEED to sell ... you are going to have to get more 'honest'? You could seek out a local appraiser - I see then trolling at car shows all the time - but the danger here is how good is the appraiser????? I've yet to meet one I trust to know the Mini market . . . .

I don't think you can get a Mini shipped from England for $1K anymore, depending on which port it's coming to....

That said, the Clubman is definitely the red-headed stepchild of the classic Mini world, they never bring the same money as the round nose version. Best I can offer is to look on Mini Mania for comps, or go online to some of the sellers in England and see if you can get an idea or range from their ads. Don't forget to convert pounds to dollars.

Considering the extras your car has, all you can do is put it out there at a number you think is fair and see what sort of response you get.

BTW, I don't think the 1275GT ever had an A+ engine, so either you have an A+ (a good thing) or you have a 1275GT motor, (also a good thing).

You might put up some pics and an ad here and test the waters too.

Just shipped a Mini from England, it was closer to 2K for the shipping, booking fees and duty fees.
