1960's Police, RAC and AA Minivans
Police Office 1962 - New Addington, Surrey.
"Police officer goes back to his desk. A telephone rings. He answers the phone and starts getting ready to leave. He presses a switch which diverts all incoming calls to the nearest police station, takes his hat and leaves. He walks towards the van. It is small - it's a Mini! (908 DXC) Another man waits for him in the car. Policeman gets into the van and they drive off."

Pan, fifty or sixty mini vans lined up round a pond in front of the R.A.C. Country Club. SV. One of the vans with patrol man standing beside it. SV. & GV. Mr Wilfred Andrews, Chairman of the R.A.C. making a speech. SV. Mr Andrews hands cheque to Mr Harriman, Chairman and Managing Director of B.M.C. CU. The cheque. LV. Patrolman standing beside his motorcycle with sidecar. GV. The mini vans lined up for inspection. SV. Pan, guests inspecting the vans. CU. Tools and R.A.C. books in the vans. CU. AA change from motorcycles to mini vans, Longbridge, Birmingham.
"Various shots long line of AA men standing beside their patrol motorcycles. M/S of the new mini vans, pan as AA man opens the doors at the back. M/S interior of the van showing layout of tools. C/U interior of van showing tools. M/S deputy Managing Director of Sales B.M.C. Holdings as he hands over van keys to Alec Durie, Director General of AA (Automobile Association). C/U of the Director General shaking hands with Tommy Hatfield, AA inspector. M/S of the AA man taking off his crash helmet and hanging it on motor cycle. He then walks to his new van.
