I have what I believe to be the oldest original mk1 in North America it is body number 1710 it left the factory 18th September 1959 for the U.S.A I have restored it to original condition as it was when it left the factory.

 

I'd sure love to see some photos if that car! Can you post em or pm me with some?

and has been HIGHLY MODIFIED

so as an early car is ONLY of interest as a NUMBER

that would need major bucks to get back to original . . .

buy it for the chassis #, everything else is wrong . . .
