sportpack mpi ecu

I'm the current care-giver of a mpi sportpack looking to see anyone has fitted a 1275 carb engine in an injection model? I have completely finished the resto and now moving onto the engine. she runs great (only 25k on the ticker ). I plan on removing the engine for cleaning and painting. Or I might mothball this engine and build from new (mini spares still have new mpi shortblocks for sale) So I figure its a great time to try and convert her to carb. I know there are some prety great obsticles to overcome, but I would love to not count on an ecu that nobody in the states will work on.

Also, does anyone (World wide) have access (nonworking or working) to an mpi ecu that you might want to sell?

Thanks for the post, unfortunately that thread really doesn't address the issues associated with the MPI version. The two main areas of problems are the ecu (not too many people will work on it & it's non programable) and the immobilizer. There is also the question of what does the ecu control on the car besides the engine mgt? I beleive the airbag systems is piped throught the ecu, and I'm uncertain what else?
