So that car was originally a police car, sold off, had a normal life, was repainted a few times, then bought and turned back into a police car? Crazy. Must have cost a fortune to restore. Is there a photo gallery without the annoying auto slide show?

there is - or was - a guy in the Norfolk VA area with one of these. He had the police dept' log books for use of the car (it was the chief's) and it contained the VIN . . . VA would not let him drive with a blue light on the car so he had the pod fixed with magnets so he could attach it at shows.
As I recall he was trying to sell the car - a genuine Cooper - for about $14,000 - he also had documentation from a UK toy company that said HIS CAR was the car they used for reference when they made a Mini Police Car toy . . .
