1969 Mini

Hello all, I was wondering if someone might know where to have body work done on a 1969 Mini in the MD/DC/VA area. A co worker of mine had someone back into her and sheneeds it repaired. She originally bought it in Florida and that is not an option as far as fixing it. Any help would be appreciated!

you could check these same sources as the basic question is the same - you want someone who knows Mini

but then again, body work is body work for the most part. You just need a good body shop - one that's use to working on older and/or custom vehicles. I'd try making contact with the local MG club (probably MUCH larger then any Mini group) and also check out a car show or two on the weekends and seek out some recommendations. Fortunately, new body panels - if needed - are easy to come by.

bummer about the car getting smacked. how bad is the damage? got a picture? these lil cars don't exactly have 'crush zones' so things can grow beyond simple panel damage quickly . . . a bent subframe could greatly complicate matters.

Thank you for the reply Capt. The vehicle is not mine, it belonmgs to a co worker in my building. I am in charge of the area she parks in and one of my guys did the damage. The grill is damaged (she said it was a custom grill?) one of the glass blinker covers, and the hood and fender have damage as well. I'm just trying to locate a place that is willing to work on it for her.

1. replacement grills are readily available - but I dunno what "custom grill" was

2. Turn signal lens is easily replaced ... available from MANY sources

3. Hood and fender is either simple sheet metal re-shape .... or replacement .... and those pieces are readily available. plus paint!!!!!

but is your resp' getting it fixed or finding a GOOD place?
