Any 1990-91 cooper owners?

Hello all,

I'm making my debut post and happy to be Mini owner again, haven’t owned one since moving to California from the UK 11 years ago.

With that said I just acquired a 1990 mainstream cooper with the 1275 single carb. I bought it as a unfinished restoration project with the engine out and the parts in boxes. I'm making an inventory of missing engine compartment items and wondered if anyone had a 90-91 Cooper or standard I could look at and compare.

Thanks

Lay your hands on a copy of the "summer 2011" issue of MiniWorld - this was a special edition celebrating 20 years for MiniWorld. Pages 26 - 30 are about the limited edition Coooper conversions of 1990; altho the pictures are of a modified car at that - an RSP

And in general I recommend a subs' to MiniWorld for your library

There is of course the matter of many authorities believing that the Cooper / S was made from 1961 thru 1971 . . . and anything after was just . . .

something different?

Or what years was a Mustang Cobra made? Is a 67 Mustang Cobra in the same class as one today?

Thanks for the info, I did see that copy of miniworld and I will subscribe again, although it's been 18 years since I last did

What I'm really looking for are high-res pics of the engine layout for comparison. I'm anxiously waiting my copy of "how to time your a-series" in the mean time
