I lived in England for 3yrs. Wile I was there, I shipped a few minis home and sold them on ebay. Wile doing that I was contacted buy a guy in Yorkshire UK. He wanted me to help him with shipping repair parts, to the people he sent junk cars to for big money. I had an APO box and could ship things home cheap. I said no. Then he wanted me to call the mad Americans with junk minis and some how fix things for him. This guy sells minis on ebay and drags out the shipping til its to late to leave bad feedback for them. His ebay ID is "humberviews" I told him on the phone, the big money fun will stop soon. So now that Im back home I've been watching his auctions. You should too. Its fun. All his scamms seam to be slowing down his Mini sales. 6 minis where recently seized was told 4 where from him. Scuuummm Baaaggg !!!! FYI

I've seen his adverts on eBay for several years now and noticed his descriptions never go into detail about the mechanics of the vehicle. Almost never mentions the size of engine, suspension ,or wheel size. Very sparing on details.

folks, i am not in dissent here at this little hanging, but does anyone else share my sense of amazement at the eBay feedback?

in a nutshell, if this person is scamming, then the eBay feedback system is not functioning, right?

 

i can see where the op is coming from ive seen a few of this guys auctions and he talks about all the body work and what not but nothing about the engine/suspension and whatnot...in fact most of the engine bays in these auctions look like they took a can of spray paint to them

when i bought my classic from the guy who had it imported i didnt realize the nightmare that was lurking in the back of the engine bay till it sprang a fuel leak and it was downhill from there

 

oh i found the thread about the 6 minis...it was on the minimania forum....the cars were those ones that were vin'd as 60's cars but had 90's parts like airbags and mpi/spi engines
