does any one know were i can get the oil temperature sensor for a 1998 mpi mini...

thanks vic! try minisport , mini spares , or wood ansd pickett. if they do not list it on their website i am sure they can get it for you. these tree guys have always done a good job for me. state side try don racine at minimania . pricey but by the time you add the shipping charges it comes out in the wash.. dave at gb is the top dog state side . price and service no one can beat him, tested tried and true!!!!

have you not started engine for a while ??? if not remove the large banjo bolt from pipe at block to oilfilter and pour new engine oil down untill full then refit banjo and start engine ........oil drains out of oil pump so needs to be primed..........

mk1leg did all you said and still nothing...how long should the car be on for the oil temperature gauge to start moving...

I am assuming you mean oil pressure......on top of what mk1leg has stated, if you can get yours hand on a oil presure tester, remove your pressure sensor and connect the tester there, disconnect your fuel pump fuse and your coil pack and crank the motor, you should see pressure within 30 seconds. If you have pressure there, then check your wiring to ensure you have power and a good ground. good luck!

yes I did I put a new one and it works great...thanks for asking radgator1 but now im having problem with the lights they come on when i turn the mini on but very dim...
