bushings for 71 mk3
I recently purchased a poly bushing upgrade kit from minimania for my 71 innocenti mk3. Replacing them has gone very smoothly so far. I have a bag of bushings labeled sub frame bushings ( 8 or more bushings). As far as i can tell my subframe is bolted straight to the body without any bushings. I have replaced the engine stabalizer bar bushings, the front tie rod bushings. Does anyone know where this bag of bushings goes.

I just replaced everything on my '79 on the rear subframe. You will have 2 pairs of split bushings on the rear mount that bolts up (vertically) into the boot. On my later model, I had a larger single piece bushing on the front pair of the rear subframe mounts that bolt horizontally into the car body into captive nuts in the sill area. I understand in older models these mount locations also used split bushings. This would account for 8 - 4 pairs of bushings.
The front subframe has two mounts on the rear that bolt into the lower firewall area and two teardrop mounts on the front of the subframe.
Hope this helps. There are many folks on here with a lot of experience. This is my first time around with working on a Mini, so I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks for the help. We are going to finish on the front before we start on the back. I have the bushings replaced in the front with the exception of the tapered ones for the lower control arms. I had a rattle in the front end and you could here it at low speeds and over bumps. The front tie-rod end bushings were disintegrated and it was a lot of play there and metal on metal. The bushings on the engine bar were also in very bad shape. So w/ all the new bushings and the rusty throw out bearing that sounded like a rusty skateboard wheel from the 60's it should seem like a new car.
