Mini Equinox

I was wondering if anyone had any pictures of a Mini Equinox or more information about them or if anyone knew of any for sale. I'm looking to buy one but they're a pain in the boot to find.

GREAT book for anything classic-related. Literally every marque, import, and specialty variety is listed (including the Equinox), along with tech specs and a TON of useful info. It's listed as "Out of Stock" on Amazon (it does every now and then), but you can probably find it by looking around:

http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Class...261287&sr=1-16

As far as the rest... What do you wanna know? Typing "Mini Equinox" netted me a ton of interesting sites:

http://www.mini-equinox.co.uk/

http://www.mini-equinox.co.uk/brochure/index.htm

http://www.flickr.com/photos/goldeen...7603365773856/

http://www.miniworld.co.uk/new_to_the_scene/history/ (Equinox hsitory is on the page).

Etc.

Here... TRY THIS. (( ducking ))

Man I hope so... I've NEVER seen one "in the flesh". I think the interior is equal parts "intruguing" and "horrifying". That's a tricky balance to strike, lemme tell you...

PS - good luck finding a real 'Nox... From that "Equinox Registry" site:

How many?

Many thanks to Claire, who wrote an email to the site with some information to clear up the query as to how many Equinoxes were made.
Back in 1997 when the Equinox was just rolling off the production line Claire wrote to Rover about her Equinox and asked how many were made. The response was below:

"I am pleased to confirm that your Mini Equinox is part of a limited edition build of only 750 cars. As you can see your car really is one of a very few like it in the world. I wish you all the enjoyment possible with your car, both now and in the future."

Thanks for the information Claire!

I think that's what people usually do, yeah. I have NO IDEA where one would find that material for the interior, though.

That would work... To be a true clone, you'd need the same fabric for the door cards as well, but it wouldn't look bad with just plain black leatherette... Shipping will be a BEAR though.

I think Meno's K-series VTEC during it's OEM life was an Equinox.

There was one for sale in Dunedin FL for a long time. Reasonable price too. Might try Dion at DJMINIS.com he knew the owner, may still be about??
