Your opinion on aftermarket seat colors
Your opinion on aftermarket seat colors
Hi everyone --
I'm looking into ordering a set of Corbeau seats for my classic. The car is blue with white roof. The carpet kit is black, and I have new black door cards to install.
Although I think a set of blue seats would look good in my car, but I'm also toying with black. My only concern is that the interior will be very dark with all black/chrome when I'm done if I go the black route.
Below is a link to a picture from the Corbeau website. The seats I buy will likely be the fixed back style (far left in picture) in blue or black.

Please - your suggestions or opinions? Also, if you've got good or bad experiences with Corbeau seats _please_ give me your feedback.
Cheers,
Jeff

My two cents is that the blue seats look like they belong in a 1992 cavalier with painted dash and air vents.
It looks like it will be too bright compared to your paint and might clash? I think the blue would be awesome if it was a little darker and less florescent.

All black or black with gray... The bright-colored seats scream "Look at meeeeeee!! Look at meeeeeeeeeee!" Trust me: a classic doesn't need any help that way, and the thoroughly modern lines of those race seats will call PLENTY of attention to themselves as it is.
Here's my car with stock seats, re-covered in black/gray vinyl. I think they're plenty sporty...

Thanks for the advice. After thinking about it a bit, I agree that it would be too loud with the blue seats. Black seats will go with anything, so I can always move them into another car later.
ImagoX's pictures do show that there's quite a bit of light even with the black interior parts. Mine will likely be similar without the stripes in the seats. Although I'm thinking about painting the to-be-built rollcage white. Nice contrast ... But that's for another day.
Cheers,
Jeff
