Dual Core Super Cool Radiator Question

Hey Guys,

Had a question, was hoping someone would know the answer. I recently bought and installed a Dual Core Super Cool Radiator. Does anyone know (or can anyone help me measure) the size and thread of the plug in the corner?

I was looking to match a universal fan switch for the summer (I have an electric fan installed), and a block warmer for the winter.

For those unfamiliar, a block warmer is basically a heat coil submerged in your coolant. In the winter, you plug the block warmer into the wall, it will heat your coolant, which will in turn warm up the block, oil and moving parts. It looks similar to this:

Anyone have experience with this, or know the plug size? Thanks in advance!

The block warmer doesn't go in the rad, it goes in the block. One of the frost plugs must be removed to install it. The dealer will charge you $70 for parts and 1 hour labour.
The frost plug normally removed for the block heater is at a difficult spot to access at the rear of the engine. Mini Mania sells one here:

You will have a problem if the car is an 07 or newer.

My other alternative would be to find one of those magnetic oil pan heaters...

You can add fan switch in place of heater valve. If you must run a heater....you can tap into the Thermostat housing....don't don't forget to add some epoxy in case it wants to leak in the future.
cheers
