I never have used a broker. I suggest my shipper could refer you to one. Call Phoenix Cargo in Southampton for help. They likely know someone to use.

You do not need a broker to import a vehicle into the U.S. Give Customes and ask what paperwork they require to release the vehicle to you. There will be a $30 to $100 import fee that will need to be payed on the spot.

Not entirely true. In Florida, if your vehicle is over a certain value, the law requires you to use a broker. Don't know of any that far north though.

Is this US Customs or a Florida thing? Customs just requires the proper paperwork and import fee. That sounds like a Dock worker union thingy happening, well that sucks for Florida.

From: Long Island, NY
Brain is a littel fuzzy and I can't find my paperwork but I used a broker in NJ to bring mine in.
Try: EH Harms - (908)353-1600

Walked in, paid my billl, (think about $100) they handed me the paperwork pointed me to the docks and an hour later (including drilling out the front bolts to attach a tow bar) I was on my way.

Good Luck
