Nice. Looks much better than the original. I can see a few improvements.

 

Only thing I know for sure is the stronger shock towers that you talked about.

 

If I had that Mini I'd not put a Honda motor in. That thing is so well done.

The Red Mini is not getting anything done to it.
My other mini is a bare shell. It's getting the vtec.

The red one is going up for sale me thinks.

 

Engine got attached today.
Trying to get it all sorted before paint goes on....

 

Quite a while since an update.
Lots of cool stuff happening to the Vtec project.
Here are a few pics.

WILL be running this week. Then I will take it completly apart for painting and re-assemble.

Car was started this week and is very load without the muffler.
Lance, did you get your valve cover powercoated? Mine is red and man does it stick out. Holy Hell its got alot of surface area. Me likes.

Muffler sorted out today. I will have it fully up and rinning by friday of this week. I am taking it to New Orleans for a British car show next weekend.

You listed the red one up on ebay a while ago. I asked you about your perspex rear window. Great car can you tell me where you got the rear window or a co. that carries them. Ive looked and cant find one anywhere.

 

I cant say. I tried to find the reciept but cant.
I will sell you the one out of the red one for 20 grand.
I'll throw in the car for free.lol

I will look in the stack again. There are hundreds of reciepts for that car. Everything was new when it was built.

Just get the z car up and going and then we can just trade....lol.

I'd love to see the powder coating if you've done that. I never heard of such a thing. Perhaps I looked at hot rods and never realized the motor had been powder coated. Sounds interesting. Any benefits outside of visual? If you have, SHOW ME! That has me thinking, do people polish the outside of the heads?

 

All of the red vtec engine you see are powder coated. The type R vtecs are standard that way.
The proper red color is called wrinkle red.

I did mine in just red.
If you look at the zcars mini with the vtec, you will see the red top I am speaking of.

Mine looks just like that. I will post pics one day soon.
