Hints on How/Where to Find Classic For Sale

Interested in obtaining a classic mini, don't know much about them but would like to learn. Any help out there to educate a classic newby and where to find a classic for sale? What should I look for and what do classics cost as a norm.

Thanks for any advice provided.

Don

check out minimania.com and search the cars for sale section. they also have a community forum that is very accomodating. You can also shoot some question here in the classic forum and I am sure that the experts will try to answer your questions. Enjoy the hunt for the classic.

MiniMania.com is where I found my car as well... they have a Private Sellers area (general classifieds) as well as links to some resellers. BE ADVISED: the search is part of the fun but it can also be challenging. Minis are popular so expect to look at several cars before finding just the right one for you. Even if you get frustrated (I know the feeling, believe me - HERE'S PROOF), don't rush into any car that you feel doubts over. In my case, I had literally three other cars I was ready to make offers on or even HAD made offers on fall through in the 11th hour before I found my classic. It turned out great in the end - my car was $500 LESS than the cheapest one that fell through, was the color I always dreamed of (red) and was in significantly better shape, body-wise.

Best of luck to you in your search and feel free to ask lots of questions here - it really does help with the process! I can tell you without reservation that the search IS worth it - the classics are boatloads of fun.
