Depends on when you're coming out and leaving... it's going to suck a bit on THUR/FRI... but it's supposed to be sunny and chilly on SAT and SUN.

Waylen is heading out to Chicagoland now.

We will probably be a little later than the 10:00 start in the morning (it's a long way leaving from Skokie), but we will try to get there as close as possible..

Just wanted to say thanks everyone for coming out in the cold weather. Sorry about the crappy road on 56.

It was great to hang with all the MINI folk and watch Way fit some parts.

Thank you Steve and Way for coming back to get the iPod working. Believe me when I say that you have a fan here and I am always going to send business your way whenever I can! We will have to see about doing this again.

blake

I think my teeth (and my MCC) are still rattling from 56 it was shut down when I was going home.. guess they still hadn't cleared the ice.

Thanks Blake for hosting. Thanks Steve for organizing and dinner. And thanks to Waylen for making it up here and installing my USS (finally) and I got rid of that box!! I can't wait to try it on a twisty!!!

It was good to see everyone. Waylen is the MAN!!!

Yes, it was a good time.

Waylen and I just got back. The entrance to I88 we were planning on using was shut down with a police car blocking the route, so we used Waylens GPS (Girlfriend on the Phone using mapquest System) to find a different entrance.

It would be great to do another one in the spring/summer with more lead time for people to plan more stuff.

Yea, just playing around a bit. One side has the MINI wings, the other is just white.
I did a crappy job putting them on and I am not sure how long I will leave them on. They work great except for when they are wet because water fills all the perforations and you cannot see out the sides..

I haven't gotten around to taking any pics, but this one from Francis is pretty good..

Where did you get them? I was thinking of doing that kind of thing when I got my MINI, but the cost was so much higher than just tinting.

I won them in a game of chance, and I really don't know the original source or price. Sorry.

Well thats a good, win, I think they run about $250.00 each side and more with the MINI Wings. Good game of Chance.

I really wanted to get over there but couldn't get away.

Whomever got the M7 USS on the MCC, I'd love to hear your impressions of it - I've been thinking about doing this to my MCSC, but I was a little worried about even more vibration making its way into the cabin when motoring about in the city's crappy roads.

That would be me

I really wanted to give it a good run-through shortly after install, but it was dark and icy. And I wasn't familiar with the roads. My initial impressions... well... I didn't really notice a difference after install (to my suprise). please keep in mind, I was simply trying to get home and not slide off the roads since I had a long drive home that night.

The last 2 days have not offered me the opportunity to try anything on them since my commute is pretty mundane (Golf Rd in rush hour... ) I have not noticed any increase in vibrations... I have noticed the MCC jumps into the turns much more.. I'll probably take it for a spin during lunch tomorrow..
