Well look what I just stumbled upon. Before seeing this I actually covered many of these roads and then some earlier today and will be out there again Monday (A to B driving but I know where to go to have my fun; also stumbled across some twisties I previously overlooked). I've got quite a bit to do aroud the house on Sat. so I can't commit but just in case where is the 2:30 meeting point?

BB and I will for sure be there !!

How about meeting at Paul Wolff Park (map), just west of Elgin?

Then head west on Big Timber Road (rather than 90)??

Ok Guys -- here's the plan. Meet at 2:30pm Just inside the ENTRANCE to Paul Wolff Park (map), just west of Elgin (as suggested by Paul).

I have a 65 mile route mapped out (all countryside I think) that starts essentially at 47 and 90 and we can go to that starting point from the Park Entrance. I will give you a route sheet at the Park so we can stay together.

Ironically I've injured my back and have a large supply of muscle relaxants so it could be an interesting trip for me.

My cell is 224-558-2137 if anyone is running late, isn't sure where to meet, etc. See you tomorrow at 2:30!

As of right now.. it doesn't look good. Thanks for offering to start later... but the combo of weather and work is going to cause me to probably not make it . I'll call one of you guys if I'm coming out.

Hey Paul, that subdivision north of the park is where my brother used to live in (Gilberts). Too bad he doesn't live there anymore.. would have been a nice meeting place.

Taylor... I hope thats water your drinking with those relaxants

Not going to have the MINI ready in time, guess that means I've got to make it out to next weeks run.

It was good to see everyone again. Taylor, great route, all but the high speed gravel!!! Can't wait till next weekend, Halloween Party on the 27 @ Bill Jacobs and the Starved rock run on the 29th. I will have the cam setup again but I will have my computer with so it will be taking a picture every 5 seconds!!!

Sorry I couldn't make it out who eventually made the run??

I feel a story behind the "high speed gravel" part can't wait to hear about it next week

An excellent time was had. The rain held off until we stopped for something to eat, Austin gave a on the way home when I asked how it was for him.

A very big thanks to Taylor for the printed route and historical fun facts. I'm looking forward to next weekend run.
