Need Help
Ohhh yes.
Now I've got to figure out this video thing. I added a box top to mine (fear of water) So now there is a little more in car sound and a little less outward, but it still sounds great, nothing more satisfying than doing a slow roll at teh base of an on-ramp in 2nd then blasting all the way through to 6k RPM. That said I get so much intake SC noise that I'm starting to look into exhaust mods.

I may be moving up to the city soon, so I've been trolling the CMMC threads - I have an in car video on my .mac site from my MCSC at the Phil Wicks event at Sebring, and I have an Alta intake. The intake can be heard pretty well in the video, even thought the audio is quite compressed. Here's the link -

motoron - (not a sarcastic question) how would water get on the cone?
the vents by the winsheld does not let water in... never found
drops of water after wash. the bonnet's undercover sits directly over the
intake heat sheild...
not sure how a lid would make any difference... (?) is water coming through
from the front grill?

puddle at 50+ and I had a wave soak the entire car so (basically take a 5 gallon bucket and dump it on the windshield), some water went into the cowl and just a few drops landed on the very tip of the cone, and the car bogged down, felt like it was lugging @ 3500-4000 RPM hit it with some oil and let it dry for a while and then it was good as new.Best part is with my summer tires on that night I was sliding a little when we went up Sheridan Rd, but didn't loose any grip going through that puddle.
