Does anyone know anywhere to get a good set of steelies and snow tires? Or even just cheaper winter tires. I don't really want to spend another $700 on tires...Im near Hoffman Estates.

the winters i use on my cms all4 are $85 each from tirerack
they are dunlop grandtrek sj6 size 205/70R16
they work very well .... unbelievably well

i got the 16" rims from ecs tuning ... i went for alloys, but they have steelies too

go to your local tire shop such as discount tires or just search this forum for snow tires for sale. Have you checked out Craigslist?
I just purchased a set of wheels and snow tires in this forum from another seller in Iowa.
It is in excellent condition and what's even better is I only paid $350 for them

 

Thanks for the input, I ended up getting a set of blizzaks from Discount Tire, a little more expensive. Craigslist had some options, its harder to find the right size tires/wheels compared to most cars.

Cleaning out the garage in preparation to move south. These wheels in good shape with a few curb scrapes and one looks like it took a hit from a pothole and has a dent on the inside edge of the rim. The tires are like new with less than a 1000 miles on them. They also don't have the low pressure valve stems in them. I'm new to the board and am not sure how to post pics.
