Does anyone know a good place I can get my Mini's windshield replaced at in the Chicago area? If anyone can recommend something based on personal experience I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks!

 

I took a rock three weeks ago ... Safelite Auto Glass in Wood Dale does glass for Liberty Mutual, and did the replacement with PPG (not BMW) glass for $280. Ask for Pedro Mendoza: he's done MINIs before, and did a nice thorough job, no rushing.

Make sure to have them replace the "A" Pillar covers (black trim pieces on either side of the windscreen). They designed for one time use only and are difficult to remove without breaking the retaining clips. Its almost a guarantee that the reused ones will fly off at anything over 40 mph.
