My baby was keyed!

So my '07 MCS was keyed over the weekend on the passenger side door. It's about 8-10" long and is deeper in one spot and lighter in others. I'll post pics later, but does anyone have any suggestions as far recommended body shops? This "scratch" is killing me and I would like to get it fixed, but don't know where to start. Thank you!

Blech, that sucks !

Tell us where you live. Otherwise, you might get some body shop recommendations 2,000 miles away.

mean people suck.

My old 86 Honda CRX got keyed across 2 fenders and a door many years after I got the car. I never repainted it but it bothered me whenever I looked at it.

This was posted in the Chicago area forum..

If your in the Chicagoland area - Mainly the Cook / Dupage County area.. America's Auto Body in Schaumburg, IL. They had to fix my MINI after it was sideswiped with a road horse from an 18 -wheeler. Over 4200 dollars damage, you couldn't tell they repaired it, even if I showed pictures of the car before the repair.

Make sure you report that to your insurance company. Vandalism is a Comp Claim. Hope you have a low deductible... and if you don't, change it !

$100.

Comp coverage is relatively cheap compared to Collision coverage. For most people, the difference in your semi-annual premium if you carry a $100 vs a $500 deductible will be around 10 bucks.

Considering all the events that fall under the Comprehensive coverage (theft, vandalism, falling objects, hail, fire, stone chips to windshield, larceny, flood, and most common... animal strikes) and the fact that these things are really out of your control, it makes good fiscal sense to carry a low deductible.

So... Comp deductible of $100 is the best (full comp costs a good bit more because you don't share in the risk at all).

Collision deductible is another story because it is a more expensive coverage and because you have control over most Collision claims... I recommend $500 for Collision deductible.

Thanks! I think I have both comp and collistion at $500. I'm going to change my comp to $100. I did pay for glass non-deductible which paid off after my GPS was stolen. I street park.

I seriously wonder what the hell is wrong with people.

Sorry to hear. In the grand scheme of things its only a car, but its still yours and the fact other people can't respect that is pretty gross.

poop lickers. that's what they are.
