that does suck AllBlack05S. I really try not to jump into an intersection right after the light changes because of stuff like that.. obviously not your fault by any means. I've seen cars blow through a stale red light and nearly clip the first car entering the intersection (almost happened to me once ). Definitely get you back checked out. Hopefully you just need a muscle relaxer.

After snowblowing 3 driveways this morning, I took the MINI for a spin. Most of the streets were salted already and I didn't go looking for an empty parking lot.. so I'll have to wait for the next good snow to give it a try. Plus, I didn't put the emergency shovel in the boot...

Perfect! I guess you will be busy! I drove the plow for the first time yesterday and I did an ok job. I got in the shop and dad asked, "so what did you hit?" I did rip up the grass a bit but I was being VERY careful so as not to hit anything!

Dan,

Good to hear the Continentals aren't bad in the snow. I switched out my 18 inch summer tires for the 15 inch hollies with the Contentials. Good or bad, I haven't had to venture out in the snow yet, the product of being able to work from home when the weather is bad.

Next time out in the slush and snow will be my Mini's first exposure to the white stuff. Before me, the previous owner garaged it all winter. Now I get to ruin it.

Oh Hefro, please go find a BIG OPEN parking lot, think Ikea would be good, and at low speed test out the traction of your MINI.

I removed 8-10 inches of snow Wed morning before driving to Milwaukee in the morning Lake Snow. Tonight I drove home from Deerfield in the snow and do enjoy the MINI in the snow. But maybe I'm getting old, I just don't push as hard in the snow as i did last season.

I used to LOVE getting out of work and tearing up the IKEA lot weather it be in the truck in the snow or in the car in the dry! It was a good stress reliever indeed!

Yea, I don't believe it , your slowing down of hard pushing would probably leave everyone else on the road behind

A light dusting of snow in the parking lot allowed me to make the perfect e-brake spin into my parking spot at work this morning..

Almost made up for the cruddy commute to get there.

I advise staying away from the snow in the MINI, or you'll end up like me: without a MINI. So be careful. I think i was one of the first to say that i like playing in the snow, but now, im not so sure me and the snow are friends anymore.

^Doh! Sorry to hear...

I was doing my best rally driver impersonations around slow turns (when other vehicles weren't present, of course) on my way home through the storm today. Helped make today's miserably long commute a little more enjoyable.

I have 6 inches of snow and counting in north Lake County IL. Driving to the Quad Cities Friday AM too. Good thing MINI's are great in the snow.

It was slow going driving home today... bumper-to-bumper on Arlington Hts Rd. Took 20 minutes to move a mile... No e-braking tonight.. but it was fun taking turns with the DSC off (no traffic of course)... tomorrow morning commute will be an adventure

took Karen 2 hours to drive 15 miles last night. Just hit 8 inches with snow blower. Wish I had heated handles.

took me 45 minutes to get to work today... pretty much stress free

once I got to work, that parking lot was BEGGING me to e-brake I couldn't resist at least I didn't have to dig out after sliding....

I have to say, we received 12" out near us and I was tanking along nicely. A little plowing of the snow on unplowed roads but nothing to worry about.

I was able to do some E-braking on the ramp area at work.

I got to drive back to WI in tonight's snow storm. Woo.

Other than the fact that what is usually a 1:15 drive took 2:30, I was pleased with my MINI's performance. Except when I was making a left turn on what looked like a half-inch of snow and I guess I took it too fast/sharp (barely 5mph...!) because I started sliding out. I r teh awesome.
