MINI and Kids

Hello,

Survey Time! Is a mini safe with a child seat in it? We are expecting first child and I am worried that the mini might have to go .

The size limitation is obvious but I am stuck wondering if it is really a safe/resposible decision to have a child seat for an infant in the back.

Thoughts? Much appreciated.

My kid rides the back seat without any issues.

Well.... everything's relative....

The good news:
* My MINI has better crash test ratings than my minivan
* There's room back there for my 7 and 10 year olds, no problem.
* My kids love it.

The bad news:
* It's a LOT harder to maneuver an infant seat in and out of the back of a MINI than a nice, big minivan with sliding doors.
* While the MINI crash test ratings are great - if hauling kids I'd much rather get rear-ended in my minivan...

As much as I love my MINI - I can't honestly say it's the safest or most convenient hauler of young children.... but yes, people do it...
