Hey all.

My Mini is back at home in the UK, but I'm interested in learning a lot more about the scene in Canada. More locally, BC.

I'm currently living in Whistler, so most of my interest would lie in Vancouver.

Are there are performance/track oriented events that go on in this neck of the woods? Or are there any interesting builds and projects to check out?

Check out Vancouver Mini Cooper Club.
There's a section in NAM forum but don't have much action.
There's also all british car show every summer in Van Dussen Garden where Minis of old and new are well represented. Some are even from OR and WA states.
Track events? ...don't know.
Project / Modding? ... count me as one but peak fever is over.

 

Welcome from Victoria! Whistler is beautiful, enjoy the sea to sky highway, but watch out for the RCMP. They love to bust exotics street racing out there.

 

Thanks guys. Thankfully, my 'exotic street racer' is 5,000 miles away from the Sea-to-Sky. The Hyundai Sonata I once rented on the drive up didn't seem to get the RCMP's attention for some reason, ha!

I'll keep checking out the forums and see what crops up!
