I have spent the winter accumulating some fabric that are to resemble MINI paint job colors. After a few trip between the MINI dealership and a few fabric stores I have 21 colors represented. Please be tolerant of "artistic interpretation" as it is difficult to match the luster and/or metalic look of a car paint job to fabric. But I think I came close enough where people will get the idea. There were some colors that were just too difficult to locate (ie: Royal Grey & Interchange Yellow), and keeping in mind that some of the colors are retired and I have never personally seen the color except for pics on the net, I think I did ok matching everything up! Once I finish the baby quilt I am working on (my 11th one in 6 years-my friends are keeping me busy!) I will get started on the piecing and its my goal to have it done by the PUB. Mark is going to make a stand to hang it from and I am going to stitch pockets on the back to have fliers and such available for people to grab and applique the BRM logo on the front. I hope it looks half as good as it does in my head and get more people interested in BRM!

The colors that I will have represented on the quilt are: Pepper White, Sparkling Silver, Pure Silver, Dark Silver, Astro Black, British Racing Green, Chili Red, Nightfire Red, Oxygen Blue, Laser Blue, Lightning Blue, Hot Orange, Space Blue, Cool Blue, Purple Haze, Hot Chocolate, Velvet Red, Silk Green, Liquid Yellow, Horizon Blue and Mellow Yellow. If you do not see your MINI color up here and have 100% cotton fabric that is a match please send it to me this week-lol.
